Note 1: Please refer to monthly gross salary table for supplement payment to Pilot in Cruise Command (picc).
Note 2: It is generally expected that the Chinese authorities will officially announce the possibility of pilots flying until the age of 65 in early 2008. Until then, Jade Cargo will talk to pilots from this age group and accept applications but has to postpone employment until the law has officially been announced.
Note 3: The signing bonus is only valid when the employment contract is signed before July 31, 2008.

1 Terms and Conditions
To satisfy the needs of as many pilots as possible, Jade Cargo International, from here on called JI, offers a residence package and a commuting package. The residence package is geared towards pilots and their families who want to participate as much as possible in China's and Jade Cargo's development. Pilots who started with the commuting package can convert to the residence package at any time.

JI will transfer the money to an account at China Merchant Bank from where money can easily be transferred to any other bank account in the world.
- Residence Package: all payments are in RMB
- Commuting Package: all payments are in an exchange rated adjusted RMB equivalent of the USD amount at the time of signing the contract. To protect you against a changing RMB to USD rate, the company will bear 50% of the changes you incur. So, if your salary was 100 USD and the new exchange rate would bring it down to 90 USD, Jade would pay you the RMB equivalent of 95 USD.

All payments to you are made after Chinese tax has been deducted and paid on your behalf. |
| Insurances |
|
- Health: JI pays you an allowance to maintain the insurance policy of your choice. It is the responsibility of the pilot to maintain a valid health insurance while working for JI. In case of failure to do so, the pilot is liable for all financial losses incurred by JI. The policy is to be presented when signing the employment contract.
- Loss of license: JI holds appropriate insurances. Details can be disclosed on request.

|
Per diem is paid on a monthly basis with your salary e.g. USD 71 for per 24 out of base hours. |
| Annual Pay Increase |
|
There is a steady annual progression for all positions. The pay scale will be adjusted as a whole every two years to account for a changed economic situation. |
| Private Travel |
|
After an initial waiting period of 6 months, the following arrangements are available:
- Residence Package
- Year 1-3: one free of charge, booked flight home with family, economy class
- Year 4-5: one free of charge, booked flight home with family, business class
- Year 6 on: two free of charge, booked flights home with family, business class
- Commuting Package
- Six free of charge, booked flights home, economy class tickets per year
- In addition, every pilot may purchase
- Standby ID90 tickets in the Lufthansa Cont-Region
- In case of reasonable exception (i.e. urgent family matters) standby ID90 Lufthansa tickets worldwide

JI will pay for your B744 type rating on the condition that at the time of signing your employment contract, and a training bond of 3 years will also be signed. A present proof for the appropriate amount is required to be deposited at the bank of your choice. In Case of resigtnation within 3 years. JI has the right to keep a pro-rated amount of the money deposit. Thus, if you leave after the first year, JI will keep 2/3 of the money. |

Notes:
- FOs are entered into the scheme according to the following calculation:
* Year = Hours on jets over 25t / 800
* The above number is rounded up to the next whole number
* Example: An FO with 801 hours will start in year 2.
- All captains irrespective of their experience enter in year 1.
- From the start of the line training until the successful completion thereof. Please refer to Employment Agreement for other details.
- Refunds will be paid back to you upon the proof of payment which is usually a valid receipt, the so called “fapiao”
- Acceptable exceptions to the minimum stay time are: you reach retirement age or vocational disability
The monthly amount will be paid (back dated) upon the completion of the required years of service. In practice, JI’s accounting department will pay this money into a specially set up interest bearing account. If you stay the required number of years, JI will not only pay you the agreed upon sum but also the interest on it.
- Residence package only. This sum is the maximum that can be paid out for educational purposes of a child going to an international school in Shenzhen.
- “Current” are those pilots who have a valid B744 type rating and have flown on type within the last 6 months. The bonus will be paid upon successful line check out. In case 36 consecutive months of uninterrupted service are not completed, the total amount of this bonus should be returned to JI.

3 Application Process
3.1 Pilot Selection and Medical
If you find our employment offer attractive and would like to apply, please follow the steps below:
1. Pre-Selection
- Fill out the online pilot application form at http://pilot.jadecargo.com
- Do not send any additional information via email at this stage
2. Preparation
- If your online application matches JI's needs, you will be contacted via email to provide the following information
- CV with detailed of education and work experience
- Scan of valid and current license without limitations
- Scan of current medical class 1
- Scan of last simulator proficiency check
- Scan of last two pages of log book with seal of company
- Scan of your passport
- Scan of no-accident/incident report from your previous/current employer
- Scan of no-criminal record from your local police authority
- The email will give you a date (usually a week) by which to supply all the data to be considered for the next screening
- Once we received your timely answer, the study books for the Chinese ATPL will be sent to you along with practice questions
3. Screening
- Day 1: Psychological/aptitude test
- Day 2: Chinese ATPL test
- Day 3: Medical
- Day 4: Simulator check and company interview
Note: Schedule may vary according to the number of participants.
4. Post-Selection
- The medical result will typically emerge within 10 working days and be made available to you before you resign from your current position.
- At that point, you will be contacted of the status of your application. Successful candidates will receive their contract shortly thereafter.
The costs for the screening, including travel arrangements, are borne by JI.

3.2 Upgrading Policy for FOs
According to Chinese civil aviation rules (CCAR), you can only be a captain on a B744 if you have been a captain before. To promote FOs at JI, the following procedure has just been established:
